Angie K. Trombley, DNP, APRN, PMHNP/BC
 

Angie is a native of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. She began nursing studies at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, England, where she cared for the intellectually disabled and chronically mentally ill. Emigrating to the United States, she continued her studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Excelsior College in New York State where she earned her RN. 

 

She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Excelsior College earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2008. She then earned a Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Missouri in 2011. She became Board Certified as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2011. 

 

From there, Angie went on to complete graduate nursing studies at University of Missouri, attaining a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a 4.0 GPA in 2013. She has subsequently Board Certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, allowing her to see and treat the entire lifespan from children to the elderly.

 

From 2013-2017, she had served as adjunct professor at the University of South Alabama in Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program, where she educated NPs in family psychiatry. She is now an clinical assistant professor for family psychiatric NPs at ECU. 

 

Angie has also proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Reserve Officer, attaining the rank of Captain as a commissioned officer in our military. While in service to our country, she served as a mental health program coordinator, attaining many accolades while in service at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. 

 

Angie is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
